Bamboo was re-released as a permanent crop on June 15, 2010. Originally on release, Zynga stated this seed required a Permit to plant, however within a few hours, that was removed. It is not used in any crafting recipes.

Bamboo was a crop available in FarmVille, released as part of the Lunar New Year Event. It could be bought at level 10 for 75 coins, earning a farmer 2 experience. It grew in 16 hours and could be sold for 190 coins.
