The Black Pumpkin (crop) is a limited edition seed in FarmVille. It was originally released on October 9th, 2012 as part of Halloween Event.
It costs 
60 coins and can be harvested for 150 coins. Black Pumpkins yield 
1 experience when planted and matures in 12 hours.
Long before its official release a few fully grown Black Pumpkin crops were seen on MegaMind's Farm during the MegaMind Promotion Event.

It was part of Leaderboards with Black Pumpkin Fest that started on October 10th, 2012 and lasted until October 17th, 2012. For this task you need to harvest Black Pumpkin (crop). Predefined rewards for harvesting predefined amounts of Black Pumpkin (crop) are:
- for 1,000 harvested crops reward is 1 Fertilize All
- for 3,000 harvested crops reward is 3 unwither spray
- for 6,000 harvested crops reward is 2 Instagrow Potion
