The Chicken is an animal available on FarmVille. They take 1 day to grow and produce eggs, which can be collected for 8 coins. Unlike crops, they do not wither, and can be harvested at any time after becoming harvestable.

Chickens were formerly purchasable at the market; chickens can now only be received as gifts or as a possible reward from a Mystery Egg.
After September 7, 2011, the Chicken could be grown from the Common Orange Aviary Egg.

The Chicken can be stored in the Aviary. The Aviary can be harvested every 1 day. When harvesting the Aviary containing at least one Chicken, in addition to currency, it is possible to find a(n)

Chicken Coop

The Chicken can be stored in the Chicken Coop. The Chicken Coop and all of its expansions, including the Big Coop, Giant Coop, Huge Coop, and Super Coop, can be harvested every 1 day. When harvesting a Chicken Coop containing at least one Chicken, it is possible to find a [[Mystery Egg|White Mystery Egg]] to share with friends.

This chicken appears on the FarmVille Float, Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Milk Bottle Game, Super Spin Ride, Merry Go Round and Animal Statue. Also one of the gnomes was released wearing a chicken suit!
Bugs[]
Shrinking White Chickens have been observed on FarmVille. Though originally bugs, the shrunken variation, Small Chicken, was later released.
