Collections are an achievement available in FarmVille, which were originally released on January 15th, 2010. A re-vamped version was released on April 5th, 2011. When a farmer reaches Level 10, they can earn collection items by doing various tasks on their farm: plowing, harvesting (from Trees and Animals), and Fertilizing. Collectibles can also be obtained via a friend's Wall post.

When all items in a collection have been collected, the farmer can trade in the collection for the respective reward.

When a collection is traded in, the farmer has the option to share a collectible with friends via the game feed.

How it Works Edit

In this new system, player can ask friends for common collectibles.

You acquire collectibles by harvesting items related to each Collection. You’ll get a collectible based on random chance for each individual harvesting action. For Berries, this would involve harvesting berry crops; Citrus requires the harvesting of fruit trees. For cows, you need cows. English Countryside and Greenhouse crops can count towards some of these Collections.

When you use consumables for harvesting actions, every item that gets harvested gets taken into consideration (so there’s no advantage or disadvantage of using a harvesting consumable as far as getting collectibles goes). If you get a collectible you’ll see a little pop-up message telling you what you got.

By level, you need:

Level 1 - 3 of each common item, 2 of the uncommon item and 1 of the rare item;
Level 2 - 6 of each common item, 4 of the uncommon item and 2 of the rare item;
Level 3 - 12 of each common item, 8 of the uncommon item and 4 of the rare item.

Note: Special Delivery Boxes and Mystery Eggs will no longer provide collectibles - only harvesting actions and acquisitions from neighbors can get you collectibles.

When a farmer finds an uncommon item or a rare item, the farmer will have the option to "Share an extra one with your friends" by posting a reward to your game feed. There is only one reward item available per reward posting.

Cows Collection Edit

The Cows Collection is a collection. You can acquire the items when a neighbor posts a Cow Collection item to their News feed. You can also acquire the items when harvesting from Cows, either your own farm and Dairy Farm, or that of a neighbor.
