The subject of this section was part of FarmVille's 1st Birthday, an event that lasted from June 17, 2010 to July 1, 2010. Since the event has run its course, this may no longer be available.
The Cupcakes is a limited edition masterable seed that was released to celebrate FarmVille's 1st B-Day Event. It was available between June 17th, 2010 and July 1st 2010. It grows in 8 hours and (unlike most limited edition crops) can be mastered. This crop is the fourth masterable limited edition crop in the game; the other three being Super Pumpkins, Tomatillos and Goji Berries.
Since cupcakes are limited edition crop, bushels can not be obtained. Cupcakes cost 25 coins, give one experience upon planting, 0 upon harvesting (unless fertilized), and sell for 60 coins each.
There is also a job in which the co-op has to harvest cupcakes called Limited: FarmVille's Birthday!. The reward is a Birthday Sheep.
Cupcakes were re-released on June 9th, 2011 as a part of the Birthday Event (2011).

The Cupcakes mastery sign is, as well as the Super Pumpkins , different because, apart from the "Mastery Sign. PREMIUM (+XP!) Cupcakes grown here!", common to all seeds, when scrolled over it says "Thanks for celebrating FarmVille's 1st Anniversary!"
