Limited Time Collection is one of several non-permanent Collections on FarmVille. They were introduced on July 15, 2010 under the name Lightning Collections. You can purchase these Collection items or find them when you plant crops. On August 26, 2010 the Collection name was changed from Lightning Collection to Limited Time Collections.

Once you find an item, you can immediately share it with friends. Upon completing the collection, you receive a reward item, 5 Fuel Refills and  200 XP. When it was originally released, you could only collect the reward once. On August 26, 2010 that changed so now you can collect the reward as many times as you want, however you don't receive the Fuel Refills for additional redemptions.

Each Lightning Collection lasts 6-7 weeks, and your friends have only 24 hours to collect items from the feed before they expire. Uncommon items can be shared with 3 friends, and Rare items can only be shared with 1 friend. Only 5 friends can get a reward from a completed Collection.
