The Longhorn Cow is an animal in FarmVille that has was originally released on May 14, 2010 as part of the Southwestern Event. It can only be placed on land or terrace areas, and takes up an area of 2x2 squares. When initially placed on the farm, it awards  80 XP. Outside of a pen, it can be harvested every day for  12 coins. It is based off the real world Texas Longhorn^{[citation needed]}.

Acquisition Edit

The Longhorn Cow was available from the market, as part of the Southwestern Event, beginning May 14, 2010.

The Longhorn Cow was re-released on August 11, 2010 as a reward for the 7th Mystery Game.

On October 27th, 2010, it was re-released as one of the animals that could be obtained using the Animal Trough.

Storage Edit

Cow Pasture Edit

The Longhorn Cow can be stored in the Cow Pasture. The Cow Pasture can be harvested every 1 day. When harvesting a Cow Pasture containing at least one Longhorn Cow, it is possible to find a Longhorn Calf. One Longhorn Calf is for the player, and can be placed in the player's gift box. The other Longhorn Calf can be shared to the player's wall.

Dairy Farm Edit

Note: Dairy Farms were discontinued from the market, and new Dairy Farms cannot be purchased. However, existing Dairy Farms have not been removed from players farms.

Up to 5 (five) Dairy Farms could be purchased and placed on each farm. Each fully upgraded Dairy Farm could hold up to 40 (forty) cows of any type, including Longhorn Cows. However, only 1 (one) Bull may be placed inside each Dairy Farm.

A Dairy Farm can be harvested every 1 day. When harvesting a Dairy Farm containing the missing template parameter, players have a chance to find one missing template parameter. When this missing template parameter is shared to the player's wall, it may be adopted by the player's friends. Bulls do not require the presence of any other cows in the Dairy Farm in order to produce a calf.
