It was originally released on the May 15, 2012 as reward for collecting 12 Explorer Shirts on 11th day Wildlife Adventure Countdown.
After countdown ended it become available for purchase for 
10 cash and will gain 
1,000 experience. It can be sold for 
5,000 coins.

The Merlion Fountain can be stored in the the transferable storage system. Items in this storage building do not grow, and cannot be harvested, however they can be transferred between linked farms.
