Original Release
Edit
Saffron was originally a limited edition seed on FarmVille, which was released on April 13th during the Far East Event. At that time in Farmville, Saffron cost 190 coins, could be planted after being level 32 and took 10 hours to grow. It gave 1 XP when planted and provided a harvest of 333 coins. Like most limited-edition crops, Saffron could not be mastered at the time. But since June 16th, this seed is now a permanent seed and masterable.
