Sweet Beets is a seed in FarmVille. They were released on September 18, 2010. For 25 cash (with the option to increase the donation to 55 cash or 240 cash), a farmer gets a week-long license to plant these beets for 10 coins per plot. The farmer also receives a special gift: a Sweet Seeds Flag, similar to the ones given with the previous Sweet Seed fundraisers. 100% of the money raised goes to the Relief Fund for Haiti fundraiser to help survivors of the recent earthquake.
Sweet Beets are one of the most inexpensive crops available on FarmVille. They can be planted by every farmer (level 1), earn a farmer 3 experience points for planting them, only take 6 hours to grow and can be sold for 125 coins. They are one of the best value crops.
Like the previous Sweet Seeds crops, sweet beets never wither, making it the best crop to plant if you might not visit for a long time. It is also part of the Co-Op Sowing Seeds for Haiti..

Gold to XP conversion[]
Sweet Beets was the best gold to XP conversion rate in FarmVille. If a farmer planted a plot of Sweet Beets and then removed it right away, 4 XP was gained at the cost of 25 gold. This was even better than Soybeans, which still gives 3 XP for 30 gold. Remember that plowing is necessary and cost 15 gold and gives 1 XP.
Plant | XP gained ( Plowing + seeding ) |
Cost ( Plowing + seeding ) |
Price per XP | XP per 100 gold |
---|---|---|---|---|
Soybeans | 1 + 2 = 3 XP | 15 + 15 = 30 gold | 10 gold | 10 XP |
Sweet Beets | 1 + 3 = 4 XP | 15 + 10 = 25 gold | 6.25 gold | 16 XP |
