The Zoo is an Animal Pen. It was released on September 1st, 2011. It allows the storing and harvesting of Zoo animals. It requires 10 Wrenches, 10 Shrubs, and 10 Pipes to be fully constructed and usable. It can be purchased in the Market for 0 coins, or it can be purchased fully built for 30 cash. After finishing the building the farmer recieves 1 Elephant as reward. After it is fully constructed, it can be expanded to contain more animals.
After releasing Winter Wonderland farm FarmVille released Winter Zoo. For building it you need same materials like for the normal Zoo. After finishing building you will get 1 Snow Leopard.
After releasing Hawaiian Paradise farm FarmVille released Island Zoo. For building it you need same materials like for the normal Zoo. After finishing building you will get 1 Lesser Flamingo.
There is no limit on how many Zoos you may have on your farm. However you may only have one being built at any one time.
Every time you harvest your Zoo you have a chance to find a Mystery Baby or to get few animal feeds. When you find a Mystery Baby, you’ll have the option to share an extra one with 3 of your friends! The Mystery Baby needs Animal Feed to become an adult (10 for common or 20 for rare babies). Your baby will grow up to be just like its parent in the Zoo!
The Rare Mystery Babies have blue baby bundles and include previous limited edition items worth less than 15 Farm Cash and common Mystery Game prizes. The common Mystery Babies have yellow baby bundles and include previous coin animals, Lonely Animals, and quest rewards.
When friends adopt a Mystery Baby from your wall post it will grow up into a random animal in accordance with the type of animals in your Zoo. If you adopt a friend's rare Mystery Baby it will grow up in some kind of rare animal. This is also the case with a common Mystery Baby.
